What is Lotus Buds?
Lotus Buds is a non-profit organization working in Boulak al-Dakrour, Cairo, Egypt, to empower children and their community. We do this by providing access to quality education, healthcare services, and community empowerment programs laying the foundation for a brighter, more equitable future.
Our vision is a world where every child can thrive, regardless of their socio-economic background. Together with our local partners, we are breaking down the barriers that hold children back, ensuring they have the support and opportunities needed to reach their full potential.
What do we do
We support underprivileged children in Cairo, Egypt, by providing access to education, healthcare, and nutrition. Our Lotus Buds Center offers a safe space for kids aged 5 to 15 to learn, play, and grow. Working in collaboration with local partners, we strive to create equal opportunities for every child.
We Educate
We provide quality education in Cairo for children aged 5–15, covering literacy, math, art, and history to give every child the chance to thrive.
We Nurture Health
Through nutrition, healthcare, and hygiene programs, we ensure children grow healthy, confident, and supported in safe spaces.
We Expand Horizons
From field trips to cultural workshops, we create opportunities for children to explore, play, and build resilience beyond the classroom.
We Provide Safe Spaces
Child safety is our top priority. With strong child protection policies and trained volunteers, we safeguard every child’s rights and well-being.
